Christopher Hitchens on the Daily Show

I know there's another thread about him being drunk. But I wanted to talk more about the interview in general.

Did anybody else understand what he was saying? He at least made sense after the commercial break, but dear god he was totally incoherent, raving like a lunatic - the arrogant blowhard that he is - in the first segment.

(on a sidenote, how'd Hitchens of all people get the "Clinton-treatment" - 2x the normal interview?)

And Tweety knew he was drunk. But did he show the same kind of indignation towards Dick that he did against Clinton? Hell no.

4. He was very, very insulting

to all Muslim/Middle Eastern people with all the generalization and "I know everything about them" kind of attitude. He dared to argue that Kurdish terrorist organizations were some kind of freedom fighters and "never killed anybody". Even while I laughed at how naive a claim that is, it is shameful that he just doesn't have a clue about things he claims to be an expert of.
