Son of a bitch! They blew up the Death Star!
I'm watching Star Wars, and those liberal faggot terraist fetus-hating educated elitist fake-religion welfare-losers just blew up the Death Star, the one thing that was designed solely to bring order and peace to the galaxy.

Dumb sonsabitches!!

I hope Mr. Bush, I mean the Emperor, gives them their comeuppance!

I can't believe that LIEberal trash like this was allowed to be filmed and shown. Typical of the Carter administration to allow such obvious pro-Russia Marxist anti-Jesus codswollop to be shown in theaters. Wouldn't be surprised if the movie's popularity was due to the FBI being illegally used (like HITLERY would do later) to force people to go see the movie.

6. The attack on the Death Star
Conservatives sometimes cite this as an example of a justifiable preemptive attack. In one sense they are right, but comparisons to the Iraq War are absurd.

For starters, the Death Star had already blown up Alderaan. Hence, an act of war had already been committed. It was then moving to destroy the Yavin moon, location of the rebel base. Here was a case of a real weapon of mass destruction, representing an imminent danger to the galaxy, hence attacking the Death Star was justifiable. I never repudiated the doctrine of preemption, but it should only be a last resort, only when a threat is imminent, transparent and substantial. The neo-cons interpret any long-term probelm or any government hostile to the US as an "imminent threat".

True, the rebels were making plans to attack the Death Star before Alderaan was destroyed, but there was already an existing state of civil war between the Empire and the Alliance.

7. And that's such an utterly ridiculous example
But then, refucklicans have no capacity for thought. They just see something, and run with it. Like using "Born in the USA". I constantly want to say, when they spout their bullshit, "Wait a minute - did you even think about this? I mean, even for a second? Seriously?!"

If anything, the Death Star would have to be Al Qaeda and Osama, and th edestruction of Alderaan would be the 9-11 attacks. But we seem to have decided Al Qaeda and Osama aren't worth going after. So the refucklican argument fails there.

Or, the Death Star could be the US, and the rebels could be Iraq - that certainly seems to be fitting. We have way more power and should, conceivably, be able to mop up the floor with them, but yet we're losing miserably because the rebels really have more power. So the refucklican argument fails there as well.

The rebels are most definitely, most utterly, not engaging in a pre-emptive strike against the Death Star. They've been at war for more than a decade, and the Empire has been destroying left and right for that entire time. It's like if the US had decided that the bombing of Dresden was our pre-emptive strike against Hitler.

9. You're welcome!
If there's one thing I hate, it's someone who is critical of governmental leadership. No president, or emperor, should ever - and I mean EVER - be criticized, because they wouldn't be leading unless God put them there.

Unless it's a democrat, of course, because then they're in because of the sin of the country/galactic empire, because it's a given fact that God hates liberals.
