if advertisers keep giving in to special interests groups writing into threaten boycotts, and then the broadcaters keep giving into the advertisers who threatened by those special interest groups, in turn threaten to pull their sponsorship of various broadcast groups that eventually all we are going to end up left with are the following types of broadcast:
Hello. My name is Lilly Livered.
Various events occured all around the city and nation. The temperature is 35 degrees. Our legal advisors have warned us not to make any staments about what the weather will be tomorrow as it might be misconstrued as a guarentee.
There were sports teams who played some games.
Good night! Hope we didn't offend anybody with any of the previous reporting.
Here is the address of our legal department if we did. Oh please, please don't sue us.
The end.
Remember George Carlin's Hippy Dippy Weather man? "tonight it will be dark."

Carlin. Just saw him on Bravo the other night on "Inside the Actor's Studio" but it was an old one.
