I fell off of watching it for a little while and only was able to resume two weeks ago....things are getting really interesting....
Clearly Josh is going to take the job with Hoines (sp?). They went to such pains to show him being marginalized last night. Which means it becomes a three-horse race against the repuke candidate, right as the President's health tanks? Its looking more and more like the writers may actually give the White House to the 'pukes and let see what happens....

4. i was thinking that too... |
|
...but maybe they could have the people take jobs on the Hill or on K Street and have them work from the otherside.....sure wouldn't be the same AT ALL, but then the writers could have at the decisions made by the new administration and not be the ones making the decisions....in that way, the show could continue its tradition of calling attention and criticizing the current, real-life, administration without having to use the "why can't life immitate art" method

7. Yes, the show would change totally; but for the better. One must |
|
admit it's getting a bit hard to suspend disbelief to the point of watching a show where decent people who desire to uphold the Constitution, work in the West Wing of the White House.
A right-wing take over, with a cast of swinish fascists working for vested corporate interests, would restore a sense of reality to the program.
Maybe they could even get Britney Spears to play the part of an eager Young Republican who comes to town to shred the Bill of Rights, prostituting herself for advancement, all the while loudly proclaiming born-again Christian values.
Sounds like a great show to me. And highly realistic.

9. Josh leaves, but not for Hoynes |
|
I think the plan is for him to work with Jimmy Smits' character. There will be massive cast changes. The Alan Alda character will be introduced and he may well win with a total cast change. If Jimmy Smits wins, its mostly a cast change. Bradford Whitely will probably stay along with Donna, but thats about it.
Oh, after Josh leaves, Donna will stay. Opening up the possibility for romance now that he is not her boss.

5. Has there been any word as to when the series might end? |

They could carry it out to election night, then break it off, leaving a permanent cliffhanger as to which party wins.

it really does pain me knowing that while it is finally good again, it's all going to end after next season, or worse, at the end of this season. :-(
here are the contenders in the race so far: Former VP Hoynes Current VP "Bingo Bob" Pennsylvania Governor (forget character name)
looks like Alan Alda may be the Republican candidate.

8. I stopped watching WW some time ago. |
|
I used to enjoy it because it was worth watching. Now it is just another primetime soap opera and not worth my time.

I have the first two seasons on DVD, and sometimes will just have a marathon...Look - people who give a shit running the country!!
The sight of Bartlett on the stretcher (next week's previews) is spooky as hell.
I hope Jimmy Smits does run and Josh goes to work for him!

12. yes getting much better |
|
as fas as I hear , things are totally up in the air for what happens, depends on taitings, renewal and NBC
will probably have a cliff hanger/non-resolution at the end of the season and figure it out for next year.
I heard that many of the cast members contracts are up at the end of this season.
so who knows
