So addicted to DU, I nearly burned my house down |
|
Well, not quite. But I got a fire going in my woodstove and left the door open so it could get some air and get cranking. Then I came back in my office and got on the computer and forgot all about it.
Luckily, when I finally remembered and leaped out of my seat and ran to the living room, it was burning furiously but still confined to the inside of the stove.
I'd have a hard time explaining that to the landlord.... maybe it's time for a 12 step program.

I'd probably just start a thread about it - "My house is on fire and I'm posting on DU" and just sit here posting while it all came down around my head.
Addictions are a terrible thing. :spank:

7. Had a friend who was tripping acid a few years back with some friends |

and they were in the living room doing what one does when one is dosing, and the stove was accidentally left on and set a dishrag on fire. The dishrage caught part of the wall on fire and the smoke alarm starts going off. They all look around at the smoke alarm, then look over and see that the kitchen is starting to go up in flames. They just kind of sat around looking at each other like "wow, the kitchen is totally on fire." "Yeah, man, woww. What does it mean?" Finally I think someone actually got their wits together and grabbed a fire extiguisher and saved the house. At least your DUing isn't that bad (or is it?).

9. Haha, "one of my friends." No really, it was a friend, not me! I haven't |
|
done acid for a number of years. :D Don't need to, this administration pretty much leaves one sober no matter what you do.
