20. You were a bartender? Cool, can I ask you some questions about that?
I for some odd reason want to do that, will my dream would be to own a really uber cool night club/bar... of course I have to wait a few years before any of this.. but yeah, like did you go to school for it? I've heard ads on the radio for bar tending school, would you recommend that or not? Also, whats it like? Is it hard work, I've heard that some bartenders get back problems? And is the pay ok?.... um am I bugging you yet? :shrug: :P

21. Well,

  1. No, I did not go to school. I was a bartender at a casino. The emphasis was on knowing the drinks (and how they differed by geographic areas) - handling the customers, etc. Personally, while school might be a good thing, I would say to try to do it hands on for a little while before going to school, just to see if it is something you want to spend your money one. Some of the places you work will send you to school.
  2. It's hard work, or at least it was at the casino. But it can be very enjoyable. Yes, many bartenders do have back problems, because you will be on your feet for the entire shift, plus lots of stocking if you don't have a bar-back. However, many bars will let you sit if you aren't busy.
  3. Is the pay OK? Well, I can only speak for myself. I was only making a dollar or so over the minimum wage in Nevada, however, I considered it a slow night if I made less than $150.00 in tokes (tips) during a shift.
  4. No, you're not :)

Can you open your mouth and twist your tongue so that the sides of the tongue are touching your teeth? (Turn your tongue sideways)

X = teeth

0 = tongue

13. I Can Roll My Tongue Up, But What's Really a Talent
is rolling it downwards. About one out of every thousand people can do this.

18. I am one of those
I'm pretty gifted in the tongue area. I can touch my nose and my chin with it. I can role it "up" and "down." I can't do that sideways thing up above, but I am going to keep trying til I get it.
