Who was or is your second favorite NFL team? |
|
I have to say the Buffalo Bills during the Jim Kelly era. It was poetry seeing Kelly run the no huddle offence and audible at will. This was before modern technology with earpieces in the helmet. I wish they had won at least one of those super bowls:(

I feel like Steelers Nation would have my head if it became known that I like the Browns, but I went to college in northern Ohio. These things happen after a few years there. Besides, Art Modell's an ass, so they have my support.

7. Heh, other way around for me -- Ravens |
|
After the Steelers.
Reason -- I live in Maryland.
Second reason -- despite the fact Art Modell is a scum-sucking weasel for high-tailing it out of Cleveland, the city of Baltimore very well knows how Cleveland felt. (Where did the Indianapolis Colts come from again?) And people around here were really uncomfortable about getting a team that way (but still happy they got a team again). Thing is, when the the scum-sucking weasel Irsay high-tailed it out of Baltimore in the middle of the night in the 80's, the NFL just sat on its hands. When Modell moved to Baltimore, the NFL bent over backward for Cleveland, guaranteeing the city a new team and forbidding the team name to leave the city. Baltimore should have been allowed to keep the Colts name.
Third team: Redskins, because they're right down the road from me.
Team I don't like: If I had to choose, Oakland, but only due to residual rivalry with Pittsburgh in the 70's.

Because 1) I like their uniforms, and 2) my wife is from North Carolina.
I'll always bleed purple for the Vikes, but it's fun to cheer for the Panthers too.

3. The Jim Kelly Bills were my favorite team |
|
With the notable exception of three of their Super Bowls, they were exciting to watch. The Houston comeback was a fairy tale game and their rivalry with Dan Marino and the Fish was always entertaining.
My second favorite team was Joe Namath's Jets.

5. Whoever's playing the Bucs... |
|
It never(rarely) fails, my poor old Saints are always in the division with the champs - 49ers, Rams. Now we're in a brutal division again, and I'm lovin' it. And by the way...
We're getting an early start on our end-of-the-season collapse. :toast:

Before the Colts came to Indy, they were my team.
And after the Colts go to LA for the '07 season, they'll be my team again.

8. My second fav is the Broncos. ALWAYS the Broncos. |
|
The Vikings will always be number one in my heart, and I bleed purple and gold till the end. But my second team is and always will be the Denver Broncos. I've watched the Broncos as long as I've been watching the Vikes.

13. Second favorite is the Browns |
|
Right behind the Bengals. Living in Ohio, I grew up watching both teams. I started watching football back in the '80s when the Bengals were good and went to a couple of Super Bowls. Also, I'm closer to Cincy and that played a part in me liking the Bengals.
