When you eat french fries...Ketchup on the side or on top?

I got to thinking about this today as I squeezed ketchup beside my spicy fries. What do you do?

1. On the side...

I like to dip, plus when you put the ketchup on top the fries get all soggy and messy

I'm a student, the money is waaaay low - spaghetti w. ketchup is considered a delicacy, especially during the lead-up to christmas.

I add it to the ketchup. Cuz if you put the salt on the fires, it just rolls off.

The sight and smell nauseates me. (And my 3-year old naturally loves it. He even has me making "ketchup sandwiches" for him. shudder.)

32. Depends on quantity of fries

A small amount gets it on top. A large amount gets a puddle because I don't want to make them soggy

33. Our household is divided

I squeeze a good-sized dollop on the side while he squirts it all over until you can hardly see the fries anymore. Then he eats them with a fork. His method not only makes the fries soggy but prevents me from picking any off his plate.

This is about the most serious schism in our relationship. Well, that and when he empties the dishwasher he never looks to see if the dishes are really clean before he puts them away. Sometimes they aren't, you know.

We may need counseling. :scared:
