What is the best cure for unquenchable thirst?
During working hours, I mean. Set aside the illogic of there being anything that quench the unquenchable. I have been drinking orange juice and water all morning and neither is doing the trick.

16. If you also urinate frequently or have to get up in the middle of the
night, that can be a sign as well.

19. Actually I don't have to do either.
Not usually anyway. It may just be the inordinate amount of roast chicken skin I ate last night.

Or would it have been noticeable all along? What other symptoms are there?

And why am I asking you all when I should be talking to a doctor?

23. Salt bad, very bad, moderate use only.
Salt in excessive use can cause all kinds of problems as you age high blood pressure, etc. The next time your out shopping check on sodium content in processed food it will shock you.

If you haven't been checked for blood sugar I would its a simple blood test a stick or prick and an instant reading on a meter. Sometime they run a urine test with a strip to determine color.

I use very little salt, because its in just about everthing on your grocer shelves. I do sometimes get a craving for it and then I will eat some salted peanuts or a small bag of chips.

We need salt especially in the summer months but mostly we all get too much.

Don't worry I sometimes get the urge to drink lots of water, especially after having coffee, tea or soda, it could be a signal to get hydrated.
