3. Thank you--I love that show! |

It's one of the few I watch.
Even you have to admit it was about time!

CYE is funnier than Seinfeld. I only wonder if Larry David has rubbed a few people in the industry the wrong way--the way he does on his show!

5. I knew it was going to be a bad night when Doris Roberts won |
|
I mean, Kim Catrell had one of her best years with her relationship with Richard Wright.
I think the Emmy's are trying to be reward shows that aren't edgy or take chances. Raymond numbs the mind with their show that familys are Mom&Dad and kids and nothing else.

Raymond is the best comdey show, hands down, and has been for quite some time.
Have to agree about Doris Roberts--they need to spread it around a little--Kim Cattral should have finally won.
Glad to see Debra Messing win--been rooting for her or Jane Kazcmarek for the past few years.

7. The family dynamics on that show are Godawful |
|
If I had a mother-in-law that bitchy and mean to me or my spouse we would move away in a flash. It's not even funny, just more mean old lady stereotypes and rehashed plots from the '70s. One of the few episodes I watched was all about how tramatic it was that the wife was going back to work---Jeebus, they must be rich if she can afford not to! Needless to say, it was a little out of touch for my taste. Ok, I'll stop ranting about how I HATE Raymond.

9. Godawful? No, it's God-wonderful! |
|
They can make the most ordinary issues/situations hilarious!
None of the other shows nominated is even remotely up to its standards!

The Emmy Awards still reflect a pro-broadcast network bias.
While individuals from cable programs can win awards, there is still a big advantage to the networks when it comes to the best program awards.
Hey, I like the West Wing alright, but they sleepwalked through last season and the idea that it was a better program for the season than The Sopranos or Six Feet Under (or Street Time or The Wire for that matter) is quite a stretch.

11. Totally agree about The West Wing |
|
Winning this year after totally not deserving to be nominated is a joke.

since Scrubs was not nominated. Emmy's are just more bread and circuses. just backing away from boob tube.
