Being under the watchful eye of a supervisor sucks

My friend told me this story yesterday. He's going to be seeling carpeting and he was accompanying this guy who was teaching him procedures and whatnot. Anyway, they get in the car and the guy, whom my friend said was really nice, and the guy turns on Michael Savage! So my friend is horrified at what Savage is spouting and the guy opens his mouth. He says "all Democrats are extremists and the've ruined everything in this country." Then he says "Why should we be nice to Muslims in this country when they're mean to Christians in Iraq?" "What kind of religion do they have anyway, they beat their women, what the hell is that?" "Kerry is evil. The Democrats were calling up women with husbands in Iraq and said 'You're husband is dead' pause 'well, not really but he will be if you vote for Bush'" Yeah, okay. So my friend says "but Cheney said that if people voted for Kerry, we'd get attacked again for sure" so the guy says "well that's fair." Ugh! Needless to say, my friend had to bite his tongue since this guy was in a position of power. I can't even imagine how i'd react.

1. I guess you would have to either

#1 - swallow hard and keep quiet or
#2 - get another job. I'm lucky because my boss is a Democrat.

I don't really think its appropriate to be spewing that kinda crap to someone who can't answer, either. It's an abuse of power. He really needs the job, too.
