One of my sites is hosted with them. I will be changing to a different host when it is due to expire. What'd they do to you?

3. Their tech support sucks the big one
Hell, I could do a better job than at least 90% of the reps I've spoken with so far. They tell me I have to fix the problem, so I spent my only day off this week doing all that. Today? They tell me I CAN'T fix the problem, and that they have their top guys working on it.... they'll have it fixed in a matter of hours. That was at 8 am this morning. I get in touch just a few minutes ago?

"We have our top guys working on your issue right now. We expect to have your issue resolved within the next 3 to 4 hours."

Somebody hold me, dammit :cry:

to buy you the webspace myself dammit!! Been too much frustrations for it not to be so.

But yeah I feel your pain.. a bit...at least I empathize with you thats for sure!:hug:

5. Their tech support is worse than non-existent
'Cause all they do is mess you up with their "support." I've used about 10 different web hosts. ipowerweb is the worst, by far. Good luck!

6. Until this week, my experience with them has been a good one
Everything has run smoothly, no problems to speak of.... but MAN, one asshole caused this much damage? Kinda makes you wonder....

You'll wait in hold for 2 hours then they'll transfer you :mad:

Or better yet, if you "leave a message" for a return call, they won't return it.

Believe me, I know. Good prices, but hell to deal with.

7. You need another ISP?
I know of at least one very cool, very affordable ISP owned by a progressive individual. I'm hosting a couple of sites there now (including www.progressivecaucus.net), and the service has been nothing short of spectacular. Most issues are resolved within half a day, especially if the owner/tech support guy is online at the time.

Best of all, he's got all the cutting edge stuff, including .NET if you're so inclined (I signed with him for that reason-- I need a playpen for learning .Net, and can't get one at work).

10. So they say anyway
I went ahead and took off work... was only scheduled for four hours tonight anyway to cover the Friday night rush. Doesn't seem to be one tonight, so fuck work for tonight. My head hurts :(

And yeah, I know... it's not like it HAS to be up tonight. It's the PRINCIPLE of the thing tho.... it SHOULD be. :grr:

11. I can vouch for that
I run two servers off iPowerweb. Thankfully I'm pretty self-reliant and can troubleshoot myself, because their support is pitiful. Like Amazon, PayPal and other dot commies, they go out of their way to hide their contact info to avoid phone calls from frustrated customers.
