1. I support her, and I haven't read her book.
She's smart, and she's genuine.

2. You'll find a lot of people who can't forgive her for her cold-blooded
attitude about the sanctions in Iraq. When questioned on 60 minutes a few years ago about whether or not it was worth prusuing the sanctions given that half a million children had died since they began, she said something like, "I believe that price was worth paying." Someone will be along with the exact wording, I'm sure. I wonder if she addresses this quote in the book.

3. What's to address?
With that one quote, she summed up the entire human history of foreign policy.

I loathe her, for that alone--that's all I need.

I was nearly arrested protesting her presence at a Vancouver speaking engagement a couple of years ago, and I'll be just as aggressive if she ever returns.

4. yes i was going to mention that 60 minutes comment.
But I am too tired and its too late to google and find the exact wording but its mentioned all over the place. That is why protesters followed her and stood up and shouted at some of her college speechs. I have a hard time admiring her after that.

5. It's worth mentioning, though...

...that the standard, "era of personal responsibility" GOP attitude toward the sanctions is just as cold-blooded: "Saddam has no one to blame for the sanctions but himself." Or even better: "If the Iraqis can't live with the sanctions, let them take it up with Saddam."
