Wow! This is a great documentary . . . |

Called "War and Peace" about the relationships between India and Pakistan since they both became nuclear powers, and all the internal issues in each country. Made by Indian filmmaker Anand Patwardhan.
Highly recommnded (and showing on Sundance Channel right now).

One very sad thing is the perception they both have that the US should be emulated, i.e. power should be used to make sure you get your way.
It's also tragic to see the effects of the uranium mines and such in India and the people that live near them, such as a boy born with one eye, another who has no ability to speak, walk or sit up.
The young people in the schools in both nations are somewhat reassuring (I'm guessing early high-school age for the girls they spoke with in Pakistan). Very bright and intelligent young ladies in Pakistan.
