I just ripped out the carpet in the hallway (warning, quasi-cat thread!) |
|
My two oldest (living) cats are vying for top cat since my oldest died. And how do cats show this? They pee. For some reason, they chose the hallway as their loo, refusing to use the litterbox all together. They have been restricted to the bathroom since Sunday and golly, they have used the litterbox there. So they do know how to use it.
I plan on letting them out tomorrow and we'll see how well this worked. Luckily the flooring under the carpet wasn't hideous. Well, on second though, yet is it. But it doesn't stink and it will be easier to clean. I hope to put in tile next summer.
I'm exhausted! It wasn't that big an area but I must be seriously in need of some cardio conditioning. I think a soak in the tub and an early night are in order!

1. And THAT's why I don't own cats |
|
(Well, that and the fact that I can't afford the good prescription allergy medication)

2. I think all carpet is bad for allergies.... |

That's why I want all of it out of the house, especially in the bedroom. I think mine would improve.
I've never had a peeing problem before -- it's a reaction to the change in heirarchy.

It catches everything. If it weren't for the presence of asbestos linoleum in parts of my house, I'd have hardwoods throughout.
