Apparently, I am a traitor....
I posted on another board after some idiot said "Bush is just a Simple Texan":eyes:

What I Wrote:
LOL@ the "simple texan" comment. The only reason the Bushes claimed residence in the state in the 80's was because of the electoral votes. For a very long time, the only address pappy had was a P.O. box. Then George Jr. had a few failed businesses and decided to steal the governors office. He was born in Conneticuit and raised in Maine. If he is a "Simple Texan" than I am a Russian Empress. He is a rude, uncouth, drydrunk with no sense of right and wrong and who doesn't care about protocol, history or manners. If it wasn't for Pappy, Diebold and the Al-Sauds, he would be night manager at an Arby's. My sources in Texas society say that he is a huge @$$ and addict, along with that blank-faced wife of his.

All of us in America owe the rest of the world a big apology. It is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

What they Wrote:
No dear. You owe me and the rest ppl the U.S. (esp. the ones who righetously voted Bush in) an apology. How dare you assert that we apologize to the world? We are citizens of a sovereign nation and we know what is best for our country. The world does not know what is best esp for the fact that they cannot take care of their own countries in the light of terrorist activities. You are a compromiser. You and those traitors like you can move to Canada already or better yet be like dumb Johnny Depp and move to France and get a fake French accent. All in all you are not a good representation of the U.S. and its values.

----

These Freepers are all so original. I would love to move to Canada or France, but unfortunatly, the booming Bush economy has made it so I have about 100 dollars left in my bank account. Maybe Johnny Depp can put me up:P. What do you think my reply to these people should be. Ugh. This used to be a great board, until the Freepers moved in. :eyes:

1. U.S. Values? WTF is that crackpot on? Does that person KNOW what
the values are? Maybe he/she can tell us. I bet that person is utterly wrong.

2. Maine?
I think W was raised in Texas. They only go to Maine in the summer. But otherwise, I agree with you.

10. info from infoplease.com
George Walker Bush was born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Conn., the first child of future president George H. W. Bush. In 1948, the family moved to Odessa, Tex., where the senior Bush went to work in the oil business. George W. grew up mainly in Midland, Tex., and Houston, and later attended two of his father's alma maters, Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., and Yale.

...Do he didn't go to high school in Texas. I wonder where he went to elementary school and middle school.

4. As I recall...

...Iraq used to be a sovereign nation, that is until we arrived.

Ignore them...you'll never change their minds, assuming that they are actually capable of independent thought.

Cheers,
Kim :toast:

6. My reply: "The truth is the truth no matter how you and your simple-
minded view of the world sees it. Also, men and women have died and are dying so that I have the right to say, print and shout this truth in the USA. If you do like this fact, then oviously you should move to another country where this is not allowed.", or something to that effect.

11. notice that they couldn't refute any of your facts.
that's what is so funny about these cheesedicks. You or I could talk all day long, quote facts, figures, etc. to these people, and their eyes will glaze over (or they start looking up and to the left) and their reply will be: move out of the country; you're not christian/american; or you are a traitor/commie/antiamerican

I agree with you about owing the world an apology, but these xenophobic assholes assume that the sun revolves around the US and jesus was an american. For them to acknowledge that someone exists outside of their suburb/trailer park would be an impossible cognitive exercise. So the best thing to do is not mention that you think we owe the world an apology, that is pouring gasoline on their xenophobic fire. The right thing to do is bash them on things they are fanatical about: money, money, money. and money.
"oh, the dollar is in the toilet, didn't 59 million of you righteously elect the guy that said he was for a strong dollar, his party does have a senate majority, you think they would do something about it."(have a counter argument ready for "this isn't his problem")
"the 1.8 trillion dollar social security fund set up by Reagan was looted to pay for the Mesopotamian Misadventure? Too bad, no more checks for you, Mcdonalds is hiring, I hear."
"Prescription drugs cost too much?: Bush's health care plan: don't get sick"

12. Well, I might reply...
that my home is "sovereign, but if I dump my trash on my neighbors' lawns, shoot out their windows, steal their stuff, play bad music loudly 24 hours a day, and otherwise annoy, intimidate, or scare the bejeesus out of them, I owe them an apology, at the very least.

Japan, South Korea, China, and Europe are doing quite well for themselves, thankyouverymuch, and have far more experience in dealing with terrorism than we have, having far more terrorists interested in terrifying them than we have. Terrorism is rather new to us, and I don't see us doing any better at dealing with it than the British have with the IRA, the Spanish with the Basques, or the French with both the Basques and pissed-off Algerians. Then there were the Bader-Meinhof gang, the Red Brigades, and other fun groups they had to deal with over the years. Do we want to take the measures that Israel and China have taken? Measures that don't seem to work very well but do up the bodycount.

South America, Africa, and parts of Asia are in genuine turmoil, but most of it is thanks to us using them as pawns in the Cold War, or just wanting to steal their oil or bananas.

George Bush would be pumping gas somewhere between jail terms for barfights if he wasn't born with that silver foot in his mouth.

He is a useless, arrogant, ignorant putz, and with maybe 200 million people in this country eligible to be President, we do owe the world, and God, an apology for picking this bottomfish as our "leader."

And everyone who voted for him or supports him owes an apology to the rest of the country.

13. We owe these 59 million ignorant a**holes NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH
Their claim that THEY know best what is good for America is absolutely laughable.

Taking money away from the poor to give fat tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations? Corporate welfare? Loss of our freedoms. Increase in poverty? The biggest deficit ever? Big Government? Underfunding education? Job loss and outsourcing jobs? Ruining Social Security? Giving a shit about children or the elderly dying because they have no health insurance? Taking away choice from mothers and risk their health? Ignoring warnings about bin Laden and his plan to attack here in America and letting 9/11 happen? Killing tens of thousands innocent Iraqi babies, mothers, and fathers because some idiot thinks he is the leader of the whole wide world and he has the right to take their oil? Inciting the anger of millions of Muslims and making America less safe?

If this is the America they want, they have a big fight on their hand.

NOT!

The total IQ of this group wouldn't get them on the list for enrollment into a good nursery school.

I am sooooo embarrassed for my country, if this is what the world sees.
