We turned off the cable today...
The weeks since the election have been hard, but having to listen to the CNN,ABC, CBS, NBC, et al reporting of it just got to be too much. We 'pulled the plug' today, so to speak, and plan on listening to lots more PBS/NPR and BBC radio.

Wish us luck.

:)

3. That's what we think, too.
The only thing I'll personally miss is ESPN, TDC and A&E.

5. Not a solution, no.
Just an alternative, as is the BBC.

6. No Daily Show?
You will never again see a drunken Christopher Hitchens look like an ass.

8. Can't afford cable much longer.
But, NPR/PBS is just as bad; maybe more so because they are insidious. They give a "liberal" veneer to fascism. After all, it's just the "other side."

10. Online Streaming is your friend...
Mijo. Know it. All I listen to anymore.

Right now I am listening to the "Blue Mars" Shoutcast stream. Beeyoutiful ambient music. A balm to the soul.

12. It is the best thing you could have done for your sanity
The so-called main-stream media is gone. They get their talking points from the government, and are now a propaganda machine

Hopefully, in time this will change, but don't count on it for the near term

13. TV free since 11:30 p.m. November 2nd...there are many of us...it's
sad in a way...there's nothing to watch. No real news, crap stuff that's more commercials and even the movies..filled with half movie half commercial. Still have the cable but not watching. Going to get Sattelite radio and then take sign off the Time Warner. Was holding out until the next "selection" just in case there isn't one....
