Thanks to DU, "Dark Day for the Nation" has gone to #2 on the charts. Yesterday, more people came from the Democratic Underground to listen to the song than any other place on the Internet. I originally wrote "Dark Day for the Nation" after the 2002 midterm election. Now with the devastating results of the 2004 election, the words to the song are more relevant than ever before. Make sure you read the lyrics, but use caution if strong language offends you.

4. Yes; I'm a teacher, writer and minister

As angry as the message seems, I'm actually kind of a mellow guy. I teach world history, write poetry and prose, and I'm part of a ceremonial ministry. My music is an outlet for my aggressions. I'm trying to reach people emotionly through the music and on a philosophical level with my lyrics.
