Is it ok for us to get lunch from Burger King? |
|
Or are they still evil? We had been avoiding them because they pulled their ads from The Shield over a gay character. But now my partner thinks they are ok now. Any ideas?

They won't take a year off your life like Burger Death.

3. Only if the local franchise pays more than minimum wage |

And treats their employees fairly. Your business affects the local franchise more than the chain as a whole. If it is a better place for low wage workers to work than a lot of other places, go ahead and give them your business.

I do remember when Burger King pulled their ads from Sinclair Broadcasting when Sinclair planned on airing that anti-Kerry documentary. I'm quite sure I read about that here.

Any large chain fast food establishment using beef will be forced to compromise on the quality simply because it is not feasible to produce such large quantities of meat for the masses. Not only do these cows 'live' (quotations mandatory) in the most brutal and inhumane of conditions, but are also pumped full of hormones and other such lovelies you really don't want in your system.
The entire industry is flawed, and I would suggest avoiding contributing to such on any level. Yes, even if just for the frenchfries.
