It's almost 2005! So far, this decade sucks! |
|
There is no culture/style defining this decade. The cars look the same as they did in the 90s. Clothing/hair styles haven't really changed. Music styles are regurgitated. The only major change is the lame president.

3. I've noticed this as well. |
|
It's like culture development has stagnated. Maybe there really isn't much left to develop?

7. 60's didn't really advance much til about '66 |
|
At least culturally, and at least as far as I know.
It seems to me that there was a radical change right around '66 or '67 which then carried over into the mid 70's.

8. Yeah, it does feel like we are moving backwards so many ways, |
|
socially, intellectually, economically, you name it. There is some pretty cool music, though, but I find the stuff I like the best is either from Canada or the U.K., go figure. British Sea Power's "Lately" is my personal soundtrack for '04, Which we do we go to get out of here? indeed...

I haven't heard any songs so far this century that I like. In general, pop culture and the social milieu accompanying it appears to be in a state of entropy and decay. I think I am officially succumbing to old fartitude. Hooray!

|
1966, 1975, 1986, 1995 ... in my opinion, this is when those decades started to roll
I'm looking forward to 2005, cuz this one has, as you said, sucked
