1. I've heard of Republicans with liberal social views
But I think they are few and far between.

6. I would think that you'd have more in common with Kerry
seeing has how he wanted to be "fiscally responsible" and has fairly liberal social views. I would think that Bush would be anathema to even traditional Republicans because of his spending and creation of big budget deficits. But I guess people like that social conservatism of his which in reality is just a con job.

2. There used to be some that were socially liberal...
and fiscally conservative. The religious right marginalized their views for the most part. Besides, with the Neocons in charge, the Republican party in no way resembles fiscally conservative anyway. It's more like a smash and grab money making free-for-all at the expense of our tax dollars, American lives, and lives of those around the world. :(

Anyone who is a Republican now is either a religion zealot, illogical whackjob or a complete and utter moron. Perhaps both.

4. I read somewhere...
That five percent of all Republicans... consider themselves "liberal" but I don't remember where I saw it....

I found it right before the Republican National Convention. It said 1 percent of those at the convention considered themselves liberal "shrugs"
