7. Going through your posts today... |
|
..I honestly don't see anything to give up on.
If it's due to lack of responses to threads, that happens to all of us.

8. that has something to do with it |
|
Sometimes I just feel that everyone are friends here and I just don't fit in with everyone. Maybe I'm just not the extrovert that most of you on DU. This could be just my problem.
The first thing I check in the morning is my email then go to DU-- I am still upset with the election and afraid of my SS. I have my pension but if SS is taken away I could lose everything. I guess I remain down.
I am a Democrat and have been for years, it bothers me to read all the negative regarding the Democratic Party. It bothers me so many people want to leave the party, for what?, a green party that would lose at the end? We lost, it is time for us to pick ourselves up and go on...and we need to voice this with the Dem. Congress and Senators - that is all I have to say.

9. There's a diversity of opinion here... |
|
And there are a diversity of people. Some are loud and they get noticed most, yes. I've felt that way, too. But most of the time I feel welcome here. We all have our posts left unanswered.
I don't mind the disagreements, but some of the posters are overbearing, just as in real life. Oh, well. Just as in real life, we can choose what we respond to and how strongly we react.
I also don't mind criticism of the Democratic Party. It's a good time for it and we need to hear all sides. I'm Progressive and not yet a registered Dem, but I feel now that the party can be the best way to end the scourge of the radical right, and I'm going re-register as a Democrat. You have to admit though that no matter the reasons for our loss - election fraud, control of the media, etc. -- the Democratic Party can do better. The criticism of the Democratic Party is heightened here by the natural combativeness that emerges on discussion boards. Still, I think the arguments are necessary will eventually help us all by focusing us on what we as a party need to strengthen.
