Will Pitt wore a DU shirt in NH on 9/20
Will Pitt wore a DU Anyone But Bush shirt when he addressed the crowd at the Rolling Thunder Down Home Democracy Tour in Manchester, NH on Saturday the 20th. Will gave a rousing speech to an enthusiastic audience, and then was gracious enough to hang out and sign books in the booktent.

RT was stricken with certain disaster when a death in the family caused Jim Hightower to have to bail out at the last minute. I emailed Will, who was very helpful in giving me some suggestions for last minute speakers. It was an honor to meet him, after "knowing" him (in the internet sense) for the last 2 years.

We were fortunate that the RT organization asked Michael Moore to fill in. The park filled up as MM made a great speech and gave us all a lot of hope. To see so many progressives come together in one place, from all over the place was very heartening for me. I work for one of the non-profits that organized the event, so I missed a lot of it. Dennis Kucinich came, and gave a workshop that was hugely attended.

All in all it was a great day for liberals!! And worth all of the agony of spending 16 hours on my aging feet.

Once again, I'd like to thank Will Pitt for helping to make our event a success.

:kick:

1. Nice job, WILL!
MAXANNE--Now if we could just book him for the Azalea Festival next April, we'd have it made! :D

And I STILL need to buy his book! :eyes:
