If I did not have bad luck, I would have no luck at all!!!!

So I get 20 strands of lights for the outside. I methodically check each line as I decorate the bushes. All is going well until I plug in # 20. The Bam all the lights go out and I am standing outside in the dark. I utter a few choice words unplug the main cable and go in for dinner

Did it flow a fuse? Trip the circuit breaker?

2. check your watt usage

20 strands sounds like an awful lot for one cord. Also, most sets are made now to have the plugs stacked. If you are running the lights end to end thats way too much power running through that tiny wire.
