Woman Let Her Boyfriend Rape Her 8 Y.O. Daughter - Put Pics Online

A woman and her boyfriend were charged with child rape yesterday, accused of photographing the man having sex with the woman's 8-year-old daughter and posting the images on the Internet.

Kendra D'Andrea, 29, was arrested yesterday morning and pleaded not guilty later in the day in Gloucester District Court to rape of a child, posing a child in the nude, distributing obscene material, and possession of child pornography, according to Stephen O'Connell, spokesman for Essex District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett.

Judge Richard Mori ordered D'Andrea held without bail until a dangerousness hearing on Tuesday, O'Connell said.

Police issued a warrant for the arrest of D'Andrea's boyfriend, Willie Jordan, 32, who was charged with rape of a child and posing a child for sexual photographs in the couple's home on Veterans Way, O'Connell said.

D'Andrea allegedly took pictures of Jordan having sex with the girl using a cellphone camera and then posted the pictures on the Internet.

Officials discovered the photos when an anonymous tip was called into the Department of Social Services about 8:30 p.m. Thursday night, said Denise Monteiro, a department spokeswoman. The caller was concerned about the welfare of two children in D'Andrea's home and said one of them may be featured on an Internet porn site, Monteiro said.

Many of us find that the suffering we experience in our own lives is enough to handle and sometimes even too much. Having that compounded by news like this is no help whatsoever.

There is nothing wrong with a desire to protect ourselves from these horrors.

I, for one, am in my 8th month of pregnancy, and the last thing I want and the one thing I purposefully avoid is news of these heinous and horrific crimes against children. I know terrible things are done to children and to women, I know that human trafficking is happening as I write this, I know that for years and years now women by the hundreds have been disappearing and/or murdered in Juarez and nothing is being done about it, women are being stoned to death in Pakistan for the crimes of their husbands, brothers, and fathers. The list can go on and on and on, but I still have to have my baby and I'm going to do everything in my power to ensure that this kid has a mother who is happy and content and able to give it the psychic protection it needs.

We have our own reasons for wanting to protect ourselves from this information. I don't live with my head in the sand. That doesn't mean that I have to take in all the horror that's available for the picking. There are times when we are ready for it. And there are times, like today, when some of us aren't.

This really is a hanging offense. If it's true, and based on only one report from one reputable paper we can't be 100% sure, but if it's true this really seems to be a crime for which capital punishment is an appropriate consequence.
