Tracking your age through sports
As a sports fan you are constantly reminded of your age.

When you are young you look at a rookie and think "That guy is my age! Hes pitching in the majors and I can barely handle a stickshift"

Then its "That guy is my age and they are saying he is old"

Then its "That guy seems too young to be an umpire"

1. Almost all the premiere athletes of my generation have retired
Dan Marino
Wayne Gretzky
Sergei Fedorov
Michael Jordan
Charles Barkley
John Stockton

And there's a couple of ADORABLE rookies out there but I'm old enough to be their mother so drooling over them is Jerry Springer time!

4. David Robinson
retiring this year really got to me. Shoot, I recall when he was that "youngster" just drafted out of Navy. then, well, he sure served San Antono well for a long time, he's old and worn out, its time for him to retire. Yep, I am old. Oh well, at least David went out on a high note, not like a Jordon or a Barkley... /flamebait
