2. Christian Bale ? ...
Edited on Mon Dec-06-04 01:59 PM by Trajan
A British Batman ? ...

Jolly good show, ole chap ...

I remember Christian's first (I think) role in the Spielberg move "The Empire of the Sun" ...

I still think of that choral song he sang ... it was so mournful .. sadly heroic ....

Bale should make a wonderful Batman : IF he keeps his tongue in his cheek ....

6. I always forget he's not American
In interviews, you can hardly hear any accent at all. He's probably moved around forever, having been a child actor.

3. So, are they going to use that ugly ass Batmobile...
...or was that a rumor?

7. The Batmobile looks like a cross between a Porsche and a Humvee.
Whether that's "ugly ass" or not is up for discussion, but that's what it looks like.

10. Okay, I understand why it looks like that...
Edited on Mon Dec-06-04 02:06 PM by samwisefoxburr
...I did some searching and he pieces it together from scrap, and it's not produced by Wayne Enterprises (or whoever makes it in his later years). It looks like that because of the plot, not because it is an ugly design.:-)

8. I bet it won't.
Christopher Nolan doing a dark, moody Batman movie that goes back to the roots and abandons all that Val Kilmer/George Clooney crap from the 90s... I'm sorry sir, but that will not suck.

9. My 10 year old daughter would not get on the phone to say HI to C. Bale!
Her uncle called awhile back (he works on set construction & was tied up on the new BMan for months) and asked her if she wanted Bales autograph. She said no thanks. He asked "Would you like to say Hi to him, he's right here..." She said "No thanks". She was busy goofing with our other daughter. Now she's annoyed at herself for blowing off such a cool 5th grade bragging opportunity. She's come to see, however, that it makes a funnier story than if she'd actually spoken to him.

12. Is Ra al Gul still going to be in it ?
Ken Wanatabe (from the Last Samurai) was supposed to play him.

13. Yep.
And the guy from "28 Days Later" is playing the Scarecrow, Michael Caine is Alfred, Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon, and Katie Holmes is some chick with a bat fetish....or something.
