Legit Question: Has DU been invaded?

Granted, I'm still a relatively young DUer, and I think I'm still under 500 posts.

I've noticed a lot of posts from people with even fewer posts than I have and they're not controversial, but they're asking for inflammatory responses. These are posts that essentially rehash what "someone else" said about liberals/progressives, or a regurgitation of what some other liberal/progressive said about ____ topic.

Inevitably this is followed by a "this is what I think of this" statement, which is usually moderate to right-wing in tone, and that is then followed by a call to DUers to share their opinions. What results is a long and boring flame war with some harsh statements that inevitably "make us look bad."

Case in point: __Inanna__'s post about the fetus vs. parasite discussion in GD.

Do all DUers get so easily suckered, or am I just completely cynical and mistrusting?
