What should I do about my lawn?

It is truly disgusting. We've had a drought for months, but it rained recently and went gangbusters.

Now, Whitacre D_WI (aka Mr. Eyesroll) is making dinner tonight -- nice homemade mac and cheese. So I can't use that as leverage. Nope, this baby's in my hands.

1. You can't have a crappy lawn, now that you're running for office.

People will vote against you for the dumbest of things. "Hmm. I like that Vince guy, but they have crab grass, and I just can't support that." :P

5. Last Spring I planted a pumpkin hill right in the middle of the front lawn

and it was thigh deep by June. Made lots of pumpkins and crowded or shaded out countless weeds. I planted lots of native flowering plants and perennials out by the road and will let them increase year-by year until the whole yard is full of beautiful flowers. English Cottage garden is the theme. I recommend Seminole Pumpkins, available on the internet. They are not affected by fungus diseases nor bugs, developed over thousands of years by the Seminoles -- in the homeland of fungii and bugs. They keep at room temperature for one year, that is Seminole chickee hut room temperature. You can eat them all along like squash by picking them young at any size and cook like squash. I can mail you tens of wonderful pumpkin recipes. Picture some flowers by the road to greet you, beyond an old wood frame house and in between a green expanse, thigh deep...

6. I Voted For "Mow Your Lawn and Shut Up"

Hey, this year, with all the rain we had, i had to mow my grass EVERY 4 DAYS!!!

Yeah, you heard that right. Every 4 days, from early April until mid-September.

I'm rooting for a frost right now!

My wife is WAY into flower gardens, and so i have to have a good looking lawn, otherwise her flowers are earings on a pig. So, i'm obligated to keep it looking rich, neat, and well groomed.

So, shut up and mow your grass already.

it's a little pricey, but you'll never have to mow again.

It's neat and tidy, it gets pretty little purple flowers in the spring, and it stays flat. It's also full of vitamins.

Frankly, I think grass is way overrated.
