Solitare Addiction
My friend recently got a somewhat old pc, he has no games, internet, nothing spectacular. However, he does solitare and EVERYtime I visit he is playing solitare on the computer. I get off the wall bored waiting for him to "finish up", instead he makes a mistake, starts a new game, continued. He might get off for 5 minutes if he wins game, but you will wait for hours waiting for him to win because he makes alot of obvious errors. I feel sorry for his wife, she's now married to a solitare addict :) He isn't the first case however, when I stayed the night at someone's house when I was younger. I waited 6 hours on the couch just watching someone play solitare. Anyone know any solitare addicts or are you one yourself? :)

1. for a while
I got into it for a while in 1994, just after we got our first computer with a modern windowing system. But it got old after a few months. You reach a point where you always win if the cards allow you to do so, and then what happens?

It is very easy to become addicted to solitaire...
I've been there. I liked to play it draw three/vegas style, makes it more challenging. The longer I could keep my score positive and accruing, the longer I'd play and gamble "just one more game". I'll admit I'm very good at it though!

She would sit at the dining room table for hours on end and play Solitaire.

4. It was pre-installed on my previous computer, and it was my favorite
means of work avoidance. That job has now been taken over by DU. :-)

5. "Hi.. My name is KDLarsen..
.. and I'm a solitair addict"

Seriously though, some times I can't stop unless I win a game. Even if it takes me 10 tries (rarely happens though).
