I've been out of the loop for two years, as far as current music goes. How are they?

3. I'm not really familiar with them, but...

They played the City Stages festival in Birmingham last summer with about 100 other acts. I posted about it here, and a couple of people said it was worth going just to see them. Alas, I didn't make it.

That reminds me. Did you ever make it that time when you were talking about coming to Tuscaloosa for the Kentuck thing?

Studying for these PhD comps have eaten all of my time. I haven't had time to go anywhere, except to the 7-11 for Cokes and chips. :-)

7. it was just a couple months ago

It's amazing. I live just about 13 miles from it, and have never been. So I can't say whether I recommend it or not. :(

... it's one of those albums that doesn't seem so great the first time through, but gets better and better with subsequent listenings. One thing's for sure, dude can pick the guitar!

And for reasons I can't fully understand, let alone express, Henry Garza makes me qustion my heterosexuality. :wow:

Great guitar work that shows the influences of Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Santana. Terrific vocal harmonies. There is just something special about brothers and vocal harmony.

17. Solid band

I met the guys right before they hit at music festival and they are all great guys. I talked to Henry for about 10 minutes about guitars and he was very cool so that kind of makes me biased.
As far as musicianship goes they are top notch. They just FLOW and make it easy. Also excellent showman. I've seen em live 3 times and they never fail to entertain. However they are VEEEERY slick. The album is so squeaky clean that it smells like lemon-fresh Lysol. That being said they are great musicians who write excellent pop/rock and if that's your thing I would definitely check em out.
