9. What happened to them? Every man wore a hat when I grew up

My grandfather wore one that was just round on the top and he had a cane.Most men did not look like that unless we were in Boston with him. But hats were every place, and I can recall the hat boxes in my father's closet. In the Spring men wore straw hats. But I do recall my grandfather's did not look like my father's. My grandfather was born in the 1800's so guess that is why. When did hats go away? I just do not recall. Seems they were just gone one day.
