The Star Wars Holiday Special...a Portrait of Greatness
Wookies named Lumpy and Itchy. Harvey Corman. Art Carney. Bea Arthur singing. A true masterpiece that has it all: http://www.stomptokyo.com/movies/star-wars-holiday-special.html

2. No, that was it....
I remember it as well. I was also around 7 or 8 at the time. Obviously my 7 year old brain couldn't wrap itself around campiness and I was probably just happy to watch a show with Wookies.

10. I remember this one, too!
I thought for years it was just some bad dream from my early childhood. Now I find out it's real! You just seriously fucked with my universe, and on accident too! Wow, what a trip!

Apropos of nothing, I remember going to see Star Wars in the theater (I must have been about six or seven at the time). We went with my dad's younger brother, who was just out of high school at the time. I remember that someone passed a funny-smelling cigarette over my brother and I, to my uncle, who then passed it along. I realize now that the whole theater was stoned. The whole way home, my uncle kept saying the word "Wookie" to himself, under his breath, and giggling uncontrollably. We stopped at Der Weinerschnitzel and got two or three huge bags of food that we took back to Grandma's house, where he was living at the time.

To all you whippersnappers that think Jar Jar Binks is an embarrassment to the Star Wars franchise, you obviously never saw the Holiday Special.

6. You can actually see white powder under Mark Hamil's nose.
And I love the way Carrie Fisher's eyes keep pointing in different directions.

8. LOLOOLOLOL!!!!
I remember watching it as a kid and it made me long for the quiet dignity of the Star Wars Characters guest spot in The Muppet Show.
