Based on the number of replies in the Ducks/Wolverines threads ... I see we have a new crop of DUers growing in the south Willamette Valley! Time to have the first, official Eugene-DU gathering before the rain comes.

I'm a recent NoCal transplant, live in the South Hills, work in Springtuckeyfield.

Still relatively new to Eugene (compared to some old-timers who consider you a "newbie" if your family didn't come over on the Oregon Trail in a covered wagon!). Been here 3 years, originally from SF Bay Area (southern Alameda County). Live in the Fairmount neighborhood, Mr. murphymom and I are self-employed and work at home.

2. My Grandmother was born in Eugene ...

... but moved back to Michigan around the turn of the century. I was born in Michigan and rised in L.A., lived in the Bay Area and moved back to Eugene 6 years ago. So I'm kind of a semi-native whose family was nomadic for a generation before drifting back here.
