I almost got ran over minutes ago

About a half hour ago I left to run up to the corner store. As I was crossing (When the walker signal came on) I hear a big loud screech. I look over to my left and I see a woman in a red SUV(Ford Explorer) in the middle of the intersection, just a few feet away from me, with her tires screeching and smoke coming from underneath. I checked the street light 3 times to make sure I was crossing at the allowed time. When I went into the corner store everyone who seen what happened was asking me questions about it, "Did you get scared?" Honestly it didn't startle or shake me one bit, I was just a little surprised when I heard the screech.
