What odd fact can YOU find in this one paragraph story?
Now there are many so don't be afraid to share with the group

Talk show host Tom Arnold (R) and Michael Strahan (L) of the New York Giants give Joe Vitelli of Westborough Mass. the first place trophy from Microsoft's Smart Watches for MSN Direct 'craziest sports fan story in America' contest, in New York, December 7, 2004. The contest asked sports fans how low would they go to catch the score of a big game, when they were supposed to doing something else. Vitelli faked a broken leg so he could get of a date with his girlfriend and watch game seven of the Yankees-Red Sox game in last year's league series. REUTERS/Jeff Christensen

4. Did the Yankees and the Red Sox go to a game seven?
Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 03:21 PM by Pacifist Patriot
I seem to remember a shorter series, but granted there were a number of Sam Adams involved.

The Yanks won three games in a row and it looked to be over, but then the Redsox sweeped them for the last 4 games

7. That Tom Arnold still has a TV show?
The guy FAKED a broken leg? Any real sports fan would have had his/her buddy BREAK the leg in two places.

18. That Strahan would be photographed with the other two?
Seriously, he is the only one who looks remotely normal. And, BTW, what kind of a dumb girlfriend does he have that wouldn't let him watch game 7 of a big series?
