Police Say Fight Ended With Girlfriend Being Set On Fire
<snip>

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Gainesville police allege that a fight ended when the man set his girlfriend on fire.

Sergeant Keith Kameg says Donald Kelly faces arson and attempted murder charges for attacking Sacoya Everts on Tuesday at their home.

Everts suffered second and third degree burns on about 30 percent of her body. She remains in critical condition.

Kelly was also treated for burns on his face, neck and arms.

Police believe Kelly threw gasoline on Everts and ignited it with a lighter.

Patrick Davis was also inside the home during the incident. Police say Davis tried putting out the fire with a blanket but the flames still spread through the house.
