(None of your damn business what I edited.)

The "Lovers" from SNL.

They re-ran the episode with Christopher Walken on Saturday, and Will Ferrell made a guest appearance. They spoke glowingly of Carnivale. To say the least.

Rachel Dratch has claimed that a pompous theater teacher of hers was the inspiration for the characters.

2. That show is awesome
I'm still working on trying to figure out who's who and what's going on, but I guess I'm not supposed to know everything yet.

The depiction of the dpression-era people is very compelling. I want to take a clip and turn it into a political commercial: "See, this is what the Republicans want America to look like. This is America without all those liberal social programs."

10. The Republican are working hard to re-create that depression.
If I was a "Depression Engineering Consultant", I wouldn't be able to take their money....I would merely congratulate them on a job well done.

3. I do, I think?
I've watched the first two episodes and like it so far. Not sure though what is going to happen, so the jury is still out, very weird! Especially the part where the preacher is with the small Asian boy, yikes!

5. I'm on the fence
Yet I keep watching it, and plan to watch again this Sunday. Go figure! It's eerie, but also kind of slow-moving too. But it has piqued my curiosity.

I love it
I missed the first episode almost entirely. Then I caught yesterday's and was blown away.

Spookiest show I've seen since the good old days of the X-Files.

Great, great show I'm very much going to enjoy watching. I want to see if this kid is the next Jesus or what.

:)

7. I'm trying
I wasn't into Twin Peaks or The X-Files at first either, but they grew on me and I ended up addicted. Carnivale seems well written, but I still ended up here before it was done tonight. I'll probably finish watching the last half later in the week, but it hasn't hooked me yet.

13. I'm enthralled by it...
Well written epic style with a spalsh of Dali thrown in. I've started two threads on it after the first two episodes and it seems as if most folks didn't care or see it. Did get some interest after episode two: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=105&topic_id=213396

They also have a forum & lots of info on the shaow at HBO/carnivale (google it, I don't have the link handy).
