I work for an organization the sharp end of which consists of about 250 people, about 150 women and 100 men. Of these women about 20 are openly lesbian.
We had a major conference the last two days, the evenings resembled 1st year university residence, it was wild. One of the tamer aspects was that I was voted an "Honourary Lesbian" by the girls.
I was told by several that I am the only man they were willing to kiss, because I won't misinterpret it. There is some dissention about who gets the toaster oven (gratuitous Ellen Degeneres reference) but I really do feel honoured.
On edit: I also have an invitation to ride on a float in the Pride parade next year.

I have both a wife and a girl friend.

The girl friend came after the separation. The divorce comes next. The girlfriend knows and will probably join us in the parade.

I was also invited to a wedding. By that time (next summer) there will probably be legal same-sex marriage Canada-wide. This is a good thing.
