Mine would have dark hair and eyes. He would be brilliant and an excellent conversationalist. He would love cats, music and nature and care about the environment and the less fortunate. He would be an excellent cook and not care that I'm not that interested in cooking. He would encourage me in my intellectual pursuits and career.

Oh wait - that sounds just like my husband! What about YOU?

about 6 feet tall, be a "dog person," could make me laugh, can comfort me when I'm being neurotic. And in a dream man, he'd be a free-spirit artist/musician living in a funky artsy town (maybe in upstate NY? maybe the mountains of CO?). Long-haired hippy dude who loved me more than weed or booze or his horse.

2. He would have to be

cuddly when I want to be cuddled, yet unoffended when I want to be alone. Someone who doesn't rely on me to entertain him when he's bored.

Intelligent. Someone who doesn't roll his eyes when I recommend a book for him to read. Someone with an open-mind, and open eyes and ears, who isn't out to prove that he's an expert at anything, who listens and considers other people's perspectives.

He would be willing to make sacrifices for the less fortunate.

He would love music, and cook for me, and forgive me for being a picky eater :)

9. That's easy.

He's tall and built with piercingly gorgeous eyes. He's introverted, but not necessarily shy. He's inwardly driven, not in the pursuit of "stuff" to impress people, but beyond that for himself. He's brilliant (so brilliant that he's not pretentious about it because he has nothing to prove). He doesn't use substances. He's sexually open in a monogamous type of way. He's supportive of my dreams and goals. He doesn't try to "rescue" me all the time and gives me space when I need it. Most importantly, we "get" each other in ways other people don't.

My ideal man has brown hair, dark brown eyes, is around 5'10", has a great sense of humor, tells me I'm beautiful every day, is a loving father to our beautiful daughter, and has strong convictions and moral character.

He's also totally hot. I am glad I married him!
