I hate getting my mail after everything is closed.
Does this drive anyone else crazy or am I just weird? I get home usually after 5. Occasionally there's something in the mail that requires attention (damn bills). Today, a threatening doctor's bill even though the payment was mailed in plenty of time (still hasn't been cashed). Of course, it's too late in the day for me to do anything about it, but of course I'll obsess about it until I can talk to someone tomorrow. Though these billing bastards are only available from noon- 2pm. :wtf:

1. Do what I do
Don't pay them. I have about $800 in med bills because of my son was diagnosed (sp?) with Crohn's and the insurance company stiffed me with a big % which sucked. Oh I get plenty of calls and they harrass me and I just tell them check's in the mail.

2. Yeah that's one approach
But when I actually pay them and they still try and charge a late fee that really pisses me off.

How is your son doing?

3. Yeah but once the creditors get ahold of that, your credit is ruined.
Best to call them and work it out, otherwise is shows up on credit reports and you can forget it if you ever need a loan. I used to be a lender, I've seen it quite often.
