2. The Killers
I would vote for the White Stripes, but their first album came out in 1999, so, they are disqualified

6. That's a good choice
I have not heard their entire CD and will have to do so before I can say anything more about them.

I voted for the White Stripes

10. True and same with the Hives but
By 2000-era I meant the decade they will be associated. So a loose application of that term. That, however, does not qualify Paul Mccartney as a 2000 act ;)

8. Don't flame me!!!
I love Evanescence. Although, since Ben Moody walked out in a snit, I have a bad feeling they're pretty well thru in this incarnation.

9. Oh god
None of the fucking above BLAH!

And Modest Mouse has been around for almost a decade (and I have disliked them almost as long!)

My would go to My Morning Jacket but their indie albums came out in the late 90s

12. Wow....I am so out of touch...
Ever since I dropped my first E pill at a rave, I have completely abandoned rock for electronica....I have never even heard of any of those bands - voting is so out of the question...I don't do E anymore - no time - but I am still all about the electronica.

13. Tyrannosaurus Hives is sooooo good.
Even better than Veni Vidi Vicious.

Plus they're Swedish. They're automatically excellent.

16. Where are The Shins?
A band which was actually born in the 2000's (though they did exist as Flake Music in the 90's).

Or The Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel, Belle and Sebastian, and Iron & Wine?
