Fellow DUer (RB Ham) and author of PrintThink website needs help

Hi Everyone,

First of all let me apologize in advance if this e-mail offends anyone
in any way. This is not the intent of the e-mail.

As you are aware RB has taken a hiatus from updating Print Think. What
many of you may not know is that this was not really a voluntary
hiatus. RB and I have separated permanently and I have the computer as
this is my only means of making any money. Logistically and emotionally
this has forced RB's absence from cyberspace.

You may also not be aware of the financial situation that RB and I were
in for the past year. I became "disabled" three years ago due to severe
clinical depression and still have not been able to re-enter the work
force, as a result I am now on social assistance and have no spare
money to provide anything to RB. RB himself is not in a financial
position to purchase a computer as he has no credit and uses any spare
money that he has in making sure that Cole gets what he needs to lead a
more "normal" life.

Now I know that we are not unique in any way and I know that there is
no way that I can prove to you that this is not a scam except to ask
that you take me at my word but here goes .....

If each of you were to send a $5-$10 donation then RB could purchase a
computer, register a domain name, and provide operating expenses for an
undetermined amount of time. I wouldn't want to accept any money from
anyone unless I know that I can raise enough money so I would ask if
you like this idea and want to read RB's Print Think again to please
e-mail me back pledging a donation. If I receive enough pledges to
provide him with a computer I will let you know that the whole thing is
a go and ask that you send me a cheque or money order. I can't go
through paypal or any other payment service like that because I don't
have any credit either.

Again, I apologize if I have offended anyone as this was not my intent.
I only want to see RB back up and out in cyberspace and continuing to
do what he loves -- writing and providing information for you, his
readers.

Have you posted this in the Bartcop forum or talked to Bartcop. He participated more over there and Bartcop used to feature his stuff on his page quite a bit.
