It's been awhile since I last one but I used to see those things all the time.

When I was working in western Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. I bet it scared the crap out of those kids when it popped up in the middle of the game. They really won't hurt you though, just cover you with dust.

When I was little I used to chase them, I seen alot of them form on the elementary school's playground and soccer fields I went to.

4. The harmless and playful cousin of Tornadoes and Hurricanes

I see them all the time on hot afternoons here in Montana. Interesting to watch. On very hot and humid evenings, though, we get the twister, although very rarely. Makes for interesting videos.
