What week day and time is peak traffic at DU ?

1. The evening is the time I see the most traffic

Evening on the East coast, about 3 or 4 on the West.

4. I don't know about weekends

On weekends I'm hardly online during the day. Pretty much all my time spent online during the weekends are during after hours like right now for example.

7. Didn't the forum use to have a traffic monitor link once?

I remember seeing it a few times, but I can't seem to find it any longer.

.. it basically monitored how much traffic was being sent back & forth from DU.com - an indicator of how many users are on the site.

Forgot to add, there's a link on the frontpage, but that takes you to the sitemeter's website.

10. It is never really consistent traffic

i experiment with sinker threads at times to see patterns,but A petetion thread would probably work best say mid week after 7 p.m.

11. Almost ALL the time

Your best bet is to post it during a busy time, and ask a bunch of DU friends to nominate it for the home page. It might stay visible there for a while, but I have a feeling that a pretty good percentage of DU hits are only on the first and second latest pages. These stay up for WAY too short of a time, IMHO.
