vegetarianism = gay?
Edited on Sat Dec-11-04 02:44 PM by Gothic Sponge
The AFA (right-wing nuts) have news for us: the children's movie Shark Tale, will indoctrinate our children into homosexuality.

Because, you see, the shark isn't a blood thirsty killer, and he may display various effeminate traits like . . . vegetarianism (gasp!). Due to his sensitivity, it's obvious that he's gay, and because he doesn't die horribly, that means that DreamWorks is subtly indicating that homosexuality is okay.

And the people at the AFA have news for you: homosexuality is a sin. A horrible, horrible sin.

So, if you don't want your children to be raging queer homosexuals, the AFA recommends against taking them to see Shark Tale.

3. That's right real men are not supposed
to be sensitive and caring. They're supposed to eat meat, be strong, agressive and beat their wives! That's the Christian way! Remember those small town values!

15. Thanks...I think,
I was originally going to paste clips of all the paragraphs that left my jaw slack but there were too many.

His speech leans toward the effiminate, he has an identity he's afraid to share with is parent, he CROSS DRESSES as a dolphin, and isn't a vicious predator. So, gay men are cowards who talk funny and dress as other than themselves? And, why can't this just be a gentler masculinity?

13. That was our friend Jerry Falwell
He published a list of supposed gay attributes of the purple creature - all cliched stereotypes of course.

I don't know which is more offensive to gays and lesbians - being accused of trying to indoctrinate people or having ridiculous stereotypes attached to their identities.

I guess it never occurs to Jerry Falwell and his buddies that most queer people don't behave in steretypical ways and most queer people don't give a flip whether anybody else grows up to be gay or not.

They just don't care that much about you, Jerry! Figure it out!

16. What posesses people like this?
Life is scary, I'll grant that, but to look so deeply for threats to morality is twisted. But, worse, to expect everyone to do without that which offends them is the opposite of the 'freedoms' I keep getting nauseated hearing about.

24. Well, I think that Jerry is in it for the money
Falwell and a lot of other people figured out that if you can scare and manipulate people into believing that you have the only answer to their fears, then you can make a lot of money.

Then the mass hysteria takes over and we're really in a pickle.

Vegetarianism = homosexuality?

Watching a show about a shark will indoctrinate children into homosexuality?

What will it take before America has a collective belly laugh over how ridiculous this has gotten?

These nutjobs will find something wrong with any popular movie that appeals to kids that doesn't have them worshiping and/or finding Jesus as the central theme to the movie.

10. Bible says: "homosexuality is an abomination" and so is eating shellfish
So when they stop eating shrimp, I'll MAYBE... maybe, not really that possible but maybe, I'll listen to what they say.... but I'm sure I'll just get annoyed and roll my eyes and wonder off, and get me some shrimp, or some crab.. mmm crab sounds good....

TV can be offensive but one has only to turn it off. But, I'm really, really puzzling how porn in federal prison commisaries offended his tender eyes specifically.

18. Well, I think it was Ned Flanders
who said he won't eat any vegetables over six inches.

But, as we found out the day Maude died, he eschews the meaty foot-longs too.

I think it's the obsession with gayness that is the most compelling part of any of these worries about being "indoctrinated."

If you think it's so easy to shift the focus of your sexuality, you must yourself already have some feelings that can readily be taken in that direction.

21. It is the old "He doth protest too much" syndrome...
Edited on Sat Dec-11-04 03:24 PM by BrklynLiberal
It seems to me that people who see homosexual inferences in everything they see and read, are projecting their own inner thoughts onto what they see out there. So what conclusion would any sane person draw from these panic attacks that such people engender?
Obviously these people are the ones who are afraid of their own homosexual urges and that is why they get into such a panic about any thing that might make them have to deal with the reality about themselves.
What a bunch of ignorant, supressed, self-loathing "closeted" homosexuals. What they all need is some very prolonged therapy....and to leave the rest of alone!!!!!!
I believe it is a good rule that what we dislike the most in others is what we dislike the most in ourselves.
