I Am Going To Work In The Yard! |
|
If you see me here in the next hour or so, please scold me severely and tell me to get my lazy ass off the computer, pronto, stat, and quickly, too. Do not take any of my sad & lame excuses.
This post is necessary, otherwise I will sit here for the rest of this beautiful afternoon when there are Things That Must Be Done. Darn tootin! (This is the problem when you live alone and don't like chores -- no one to yell at you.)
Thank you. I am pressing POST and walking awaaaaaay from the keyboard. NOW.

And now it's dark and I can't do anything, so yay.
I cut down a lot of my perinnials -- the wandering jew, the turk's cap, and the mexican heather. everything got REALLY big this year because we got so much rain, so there's a lot to do. my compost bins are already FULL! guess I will just make a compost pile somewhere....

4. I just got back from working in the yard. I planted 24 lilies |
|
and weeded a flower bed. Tomorrow I am going to mow some ofmy leaves down and start my next year's compost bin. Might as well since the weather is so gorgeous.
This summer when those lilies bloom it will smell so good for about three weeks.

sure wish I could enjoy the yard. Everytime I work in the yard my back goes out of whack.... then two weeks trying to get myself back into shape.
It really bothers me that people tell me to do it myself, dah, trees are high and can't reach the bushes and trees from a ladder. I'm 4 foot 11. I have no family near me, so if I fall from a ladder... I could lay there for hours. Who would care? That is the down side of living alone and being a senior.

Gorgeous in TX today! Cut down to the ground about 4 hibiscus, 2 huge spirea, etc. Now I need to find a stump grinder (no jokes please) to get rid of them nasty stumps we can't dig down deep enough to get to. Going for a whole new backyard next year, so had to thin out some stuff. Will be going for lilies in the spring. And close to freezing next week...
