Napoleon Dynamite - should I see it?

A couple of my friends are going out in a few hours to see it at one of those theatres that shows "old" movies for cheaper prices. I've read reviews of it, and I'm not sure what to make of it. I do know that the director is a staunchly conservative Mormon who didn't allow ANY profanity in the movie, which kicks it down a notch for me before I've even seen it. I asked my sister about the movie, and she said it was "stupid" and "stay home and gouge your eyes out instead."

I also have two units worth of AP US History book notes to do, which will take me about 8 hours. Just as painful as gouging my eye out, but without the cool eyepatch.

Another aggravating factor is that I've been saving my money for a couple CDs, and the ~$10-$15 it would take to see the movie + have dinner would set me back a couple weeks. I'm a poor high school student (if you couldn't tell).

I'm also not the type who enjoys bad movies (unless they're really, really, REALLY bad - like "Manos" bad), and seeing a movie just for the hell of it isn't really my cup of tea. I want to be entertained if I'm paying for it, not just to sit quietly with my friends.
