1. Oops
it was meant to be a regular post, not a poll.

Sorry about that. *embarrassed look*

3. FUK the NFL
Who in the hell do they think they are denying individuals the right to make a living with their God-given talents? Where do they get that arbitrary "three years out of high school" bullshit rule? Whatever happened to the free market. Where is George Will on this issue? Lou Dobbs? John McLaughlin and all of the other right wingers who claim to be in favor of the free market?
And who in the hell decided that you can't make a living in sports unless you graduate High School? Or attend college? We don't force scientists to play football, so why in the hell are football players required to go to college? Was Madonna required to graduate High School or attend college before she would be allowed to pursue a recording career?

While I'm ranting, what about the drafts? Why are the corporate sports teams allowed to deny individuals the right to negotiate with the other 29 teams, after they've been drafted by #30? Other than sports, is there another industry where an individual is only allowed to negotiate a contract with ONE "potential" employer?
What if you graduated from college with an accounting degree, and you were drafted by Arthur Anderson? You'd only be able to negotiate a contract with THEM. This stifling of the free market works to hold salaries DOWN.

4. He should play
And probably will - and he will probably be a bust. Yes, he has faced tough defenses - has he faced Ray Lewis? Brian Uhrlacher? Tampa Bay? Nope, and those guys will eat him raw.

Clarett will get in, and he will be a big, shining example to others thinking about going to the NFL right after high school.

(Disclaimer: I am a Michigan fan, but even if not, I would be saying this)
