3. Same here.
It's gotten much better since they were infants (thank Koresh) but every few nights one or the other will have a nightmare or a bladder accident or whatnot. Nothing can prepare you for the sleep deprivation that is an integral part of parenthood.

2. My sleeping pattern in all over the place
I usually get up at a decent time, like 9 a.m. but then after lunch I sleep for a few hours because most days I don't go into work until about 4 p.m.

I don't get much sleep ay night cause after work I usually go out or if I don't go out I'm still up all hours of the night.

4. Night shift worker here....
We're always tired...worst time was during Texas' hail storm a few years back when ALL of my neighbors were getting their roofs replaced. How dare they schedule that stuff during the day when I try to sleep :bounce:

5. I was a champion sleeper in my youth.
In my 20s I'd typically get at least nine hours a night, and could readily sleep much longer. I miss those days.

I had kids, which plays hell with your sleep cycle, and then I got middle-aged (I'm now 56) and simply cannot sleep through the night. I now have a back problem that causes me to wake up in pain after about four hours. It's immediately cured if I stand up, but then I have trouble going back to sleep. Sigh.

6. Just right
Usually 5 to 6 hours a night. Up by 3:30 - 4:30 am, once in awhile up at 2 am, just because getting up early is one of my favorite things in life.

7. I'm an insomniac
I sleep when I can. I try to maintain regular hours, but midnight to 3 and then 6 to 9 isn't exactly helping.

9. I get enough sleep usually
but the thing is, working afternoons, I tend to stay up wayyyyyyy too late. I don't go to bed till 4am some days and then sleep till 11am , by the time I get up and get showered, do a bit of housework, check email, my own news forum and DU etc, it's time to go to work again. I have a 45 minute drive and I start at 3pm.

I don't have a life.

10. Pretty good.
I get around 7-8 hours a night or day if I'm working a graveyard shift.
Harder for me sleeping days during the summer though. But thank god for nasal CPAP. Sleep like a baby with it.

13. I Get Just The Right Amount Of Sleep...But...
Edited on Sun Dec-12-04 12:45 AM by The Great Escape
I've gotten in this habit where I sleep three or four hours (in my bed) and then wake up. When I wake up, I have to go sleep somewhere else. I cannot go back to sleep where I originally went to sleep. I have to go to the couch or the spare bedroom and sleep another 3 or 4 hours. This also works in reverse, if I doze off on the couch I will wake up and have to go to bed.

14. I've always been a night owl
and my kids stayed up way late, too. When I was working night shift(11-7, 7 days a week) I'd sleep through lunch, then run around all day. I'd get away with that for about a month, then crash for a whole weekend. Can't quite do that anymore!!!

Now a normal night's sleep is 4 1/2-5 hrs.
